NYSE Bonds

By: John Holman
File Under: Bonds

Hello from the Bond Guy.
This fall, the NYSE will introduce a new corporate bond trading platformm designed to replace the current Automated Bond System (ABS). Pending SEC approval, the new trading platform, which uses the design of the current NYSE Arca all-electronic trading platform, will provide a more efficient and transparent way to trade corporate bonds. We are also working with the SEC to expand the amount of bonds eligble to trade on the platform.

Bottom line is we wanted to create an open access platorm that lets you connect however you would like. Whether you use your own front end or one we can provide. We also have pending deals to connect via major providers.
In the spirit of creating a more efficient way to trade bonds the NYSE has also upgraded the amount of info you can get via the NYSE website http://www.nyse.com/productservices/securities/1095449059236.html. As the year progresses we plan to add even more information as well as 20 min. delayed market data.
And as always we are looking for input from you to see where we take this product next....

Hey Bond Guy,
Happy to see your long-awaited arrival on the blog scene. Let the Bond dialogue begin!

BTW, I know a great shortcut to all the bond information on nyse.com. Here it is:
nyse.com/bonds

It's much easier to remember!

Hey John --

Sounds like a lot of stuff going on in the Bond group; obviously, you're not wasting time trying to come up with a clever headline.

Heh heh. Welcome to the blogging ranks!
