Q&A: Walking the book
- By: Ray Pellecchia
- File Under: NYSE, NYSE
A reader writes in response to The Hybrid, it is a changin':
I thought that "walking the book" was in violation of rule 127? Am I incorrect?
-- Andrew
Andrew -- We are changing our rules to allow for walking the book under the new electronic sweep functionality. A rule filing that includes this change will be filed soon with the SEC.
Thanks for writing, Andrew. Been getting more and more questions lately, and that's truly helpful and appreciated.
For all the HybridTalk rock-trivia fans out there who have noticed I haven't trivialized all week, here's a nugget for you. Today is another dark day in musical history: Elvis Presley died on this day in 1977, and blues pioneer Robert Johnson passed away on the same date in 1938. And for fellow Yankee fans, Babe Ruth died on this day in 1948. Long live the King, the Sultan of Swat, and Mr. Johnson, who had no nickname but was as Eric Clapton called him, "the most important blues musician who ever lived."
