A holiday on new Hybrid Market issues
- By: Ray Pellecchia
- File Under: NYSE
We will not add any issues to Phase III of the NYSE Hybrid Market this Friday, Nov. 24 (an abbreviated trading session: 1:00 p.m. close) and the following Monday, Nov. 27 (a first-day-following-a-holiday-weekend Monday). Stay tuned to this space or our other notifications for news of the next additions.
Feels right to take a little breather for Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. My kids keep coming home from school talking about the things they're grateful for. Murphy, the new dog. Their BFFs. The art teacher. Halloween candy. Every day, they're rifling through all the things in their lives and picking out their favorites.
Me, I'm grateful for everything in this life. As I've heard the great Keith Richards say a number of times:
"I'm happy to be here. I'm happy to be anywhere."
For me, that includes this crazy gig. At least to some extent, I even buy into the idea that you have to be glad for the bad things, because they help you appreciate the good.
So I'm thankful for Nasdaq. And internalization. I mean, without them, where else would I put my hate?
To you and yours, my friends, happy Thanksgiving.
