A reader on the buy side writes:
How is the phase IV coming along? Seems like you are behind schedule for March deadline. Will there be an extension filed? -- HDS
HDS -- You're correct that the Reg. NMS effectiveness date is March 5, 2007. We'll be there a few days ahead of that; all of our remaining issues will be activated into Phase IV this week. As of Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, the rollout should be complete for all NYSE equities and ETF products that trade in 100-share units.
Those securities will now be eligible to trade using the new Reg. NMS Immediate or Cancel Order or the NYSE Intermarket Sweep Order. For more about these and other Phase IV features, check out the Phase IV Overview.
Thanks for writing, HDS!
