NYSE-Listed Companies Among the 2007 Wired 40
- By: Margarida Correia
- File Under: NYSE
We've always known that NYSE-listed companies are leaders in their industries, but now Wired magazine seems to think so too. A good number of our listed companies----18 to be exact----made the mag's 2007 list of the world's most wired companies. Among the 40 "masters of innovation and technology" are: Genentech (DNA), News Corp. (NWS), Salesforce.com (CRM), General Electric (GE), Toyota (TM), Medtronic (MDT), Exelon (EXC), Verizon (VZ), Monsanto (MON), EMC (EMC), BP (BP), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and IBM (IBM). The other five----NTT DoCoMo (DCM), Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Disney (DIS), Boeing (BA) and Corning (GLW)----were among the nine newcomers to the 2007 Wired 40 list.
Congrats to the 18 innovators for making the NYSE proud.
