Expirations, rebalancings and other links for 21 September, 2007

As a reminder, today is the quarterly expiration day for stock and index options and stock and index futures products. It also is the day when S&P rebalances its three big indexes. Here's a link to my post about this earlier this week. May it all be a non-event, and if it's an event, may it go your way.
Two NYSE data points from the turbulent month of August:
-- Short interest fell slightly, the first decline since February.
-- Margin debt fell sharply, and for the first time this year.
