Trading on NYSE and NYSE Arca costs less than on Nasdaq
- By: Ray Pellecchia

Yesterday we sent to members and member firms a comparison of our trading fees vs. Nasdaq's. I've never been very good with numbers, but you don't have to be to see that trading on NYSE and NYSE Arca costs a lot less than on Nasdaq.
Maybe that's got something to do with why Nasdaq Execution Service is NYSE's biggest customer? Or maybe it's that we provide the best price more frequently, or that we have tighter spreads, or is it the higher fill rates, all outlined here? No matter. I'm just grateful for the business.
Almost Friday, folks. Your daily dose of trivia:
Today in NYSE History
