NYSE Technologies to Create DMA Platform for Itau Securities; NYSE Sponsors Venture Capital Conference
- By: Ray Pellecchia
- File Under: Listed Companies, NYSE Technologies
The company has important news to cover in Brazil and Santa Monica, and your humble blogger is willing to make the terrible sacrifice of leaving New York (18 degrees Fahrenheit this morning, not that that matters to me) to deliver first-person blogging from the business front. In Brazil. And Santa Monica.
A couple of news items today that I thought were worth sharing:
Itau Securities Selects NYSE Technologies to Create New Direct Market Access Platform (NYSE.com) Excerpt:
NYSE Euronext and Itau Securities today announced that NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology division of NYSE Euronext, has been selected to develop a next-generation electronic trading platform that will allow Itau Securities’ customers around the world to send orders directly to Brazil’s BM&F Bovespa market center. Making them the first to offer Direct Market Access (DMA) connectivity to BM&F Bovespa, Itau Securities and NYSE Technologies will work together to implement a best-in-class technology solution that combines comprehensive hosting software with an integrated back office platform utilizing the super-fast, resilient SFTI network.
Brazil, eh? Surely we need someone to go down there and blog about this, first-hand. That will be a long trip and a lot of work, but I think I can squeeze it into my schedule. I'm at my desk, waiting for that call.

Santa Monica? In March? Surely another blogworthy program for me to cover, yes? I could swing by California "on my way" to Brazil. It will be a tough trip, a big sacrifice for me, but hey, I'm willing to go the extra mile (or few thousand miles) for the company. That's just the kind of global-company guy I am.
The kind of guy who's here, just waiting for that call, happy to do whatever it takes.
Waiting right here, by the phone.
Passport up to date.
Right here.
Waiting.
Number's in the company directory, did I mention that?
P-E-L-L-E-C-C-H-I-A. Two L's, two C's.
You guys must be in a meeting. Don't worry, I'll be here.
Waiting. For your call. Happy to help, did I mention that?
