Bob Newburger Profiled in N.Y. Times: 'A Lifetime of Perspective on Wall Street’s Hard Times'

A Lifetime of Perspective on Wall Street’s Hard Times (New York Times) -- Still going strong at 95, a former New York Stock Exchange floor broker reflects on a career in the market.
As a personal aside, I can attest from experience that this man is a gem -- a true gentleman and professional who treats everyone with respect and always has a kind or funny word.
There's a video version on the same page, too. My two favorite quotes from the article:
“The New York Stock Exchange is not a cold, heartless organization,” Mr. Newburger says. “It isn’t eighths and quarters or decimal points — it’s people. There are so many people that I love, and that I dare say love me.”
And comparing today's financial crisis with the Great Crash: “It’s exactly the same principle,” Mr. Newburger said, “buying what you couldn’t afford.” He added, “And when the lightning struck the outhouse, it was time to pay the piper.”
When the lightning struck the outhouse? Exactly what I mean. LOL, but also the most apt descriptor I've seen for what the markets have been through.
