My colleague Michael Berneis in NYSE Technologies, in his "downtime" from creating ingenious stuff for our market-data customers, took a few minutes to create a mobile version of this humble blog, using Mobify. You can test-drive this beta version by clicking on it here. And the good folks at Mobify currently have it featured on their gallery, here.

Me, I clicked on it from my BlackBerry and found it to be a good interface. The headline and teaser for each post are up front and center, very prominent and readable, and if you want the menu items that are on the top or sides of this page, you can click on them at bottom. In contrast, if I BlackBerry to my standard, non-mobile page, the menus are the most prominent thing and I have to navigate past them to get to the headlines and text, which are not as readable as on the mobile version.

To know whether we should pursue moving this beyond the beta, I really need your input. Do you read this blog via a mobile device? Would you find a friendlier mobile interface useful? Answers to those questions, or any other guidance you'd like to offer on the topic, would be hugely appreciated by your humble blogger.

Another demonstration of the ongoing efforts by Ray & the NYSE to satisfy the never ending quest for timely and relevant information.
I expect I would be a "high frequency" user.
